How I run the clinic

Changing or canceling a visit

Please give me a day's notice when you can. If you are unwell, in the hospital or too tired, cancel at any time and you owe nothing for it. I would much rather you rest.

Clean needles and risks

I use sterile, single-use needles from sealed packs, open each pack in front of you and use each needle once. Used needles go into a sharps container. Risks are small, and I explain them before the first needle: soreness, light bruising, feeling light-headed and, rarely, bleeding or infection. Those risks matter more in cancer treatment, which is why I ask about your counts first.

Herbs and supplements

I don't recommend or sell herbs during treatment, because herbs can interact with your oncology team's medicines. If you take any, bring a list of everything you take, including vitamins and supplements, and I will go through it with you. Ask your oncology team before you start anything new.

A scent-free room

Treatment can make smells hard to bear. Please skip perfume, scented lotion and strong hair products on the day you visit, and ask the same of anyone who comes with you. I do the same.

Access

The entrance is level, the doorways are wide and the room has space for a wheelchair or a walker. A powered lift chair is available. Tell me what would make your visit easier and I will do what I can.

Your records

I keep your records private and share them only as the law allows, and with your oncology team only if you sign a release. Don't send medical details through this site's form; tell me by phone or at your visit.
